Dudley Shumate Seminar Schedule:
Friday, October 17, 2025 ~ 9 am - 12:30 pm
Young Dogs/Novice Teams ~ This 1/2 day seminar is for novice/young dog teams that need to improve their understanding of finding the right line for the dog in an effort to help the dog to drive ahead with focus and committment to the next obstacle. This seminar is open to any teams that can sequence 5-10 jumps and tunnels. Maximum of 6 working teams and 10 auditors.
Friday, October 17, 2025 ~ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Advanced Sequencing ~ This 1/2 day seminar will use sequences of jumps and tunnels to help teams working at the intermediate to advanced level to find the right line for the dog in an effort to help the dog to drive ahead with focus and committment to the next obstacle. This seminar is open to any teams that can sequence 5-15 jumps and tunnels. Maximum of 6 working teams and 10 auditors.
Saturday, October 18, 2025 ~ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Brain Games ~ This 1/2 day seminar is all about providing situations where you have to think on your feet to be more fluent and/or advert disaster on course. This seminar is open to any teams that can successfully complete 10 - 15 obstacles and are looking for ways to improve their flunecy on course, while learning some skills to help you to think fast when things don't go exactly as planned. Maximum of 6 working teams and 10 auditors.
Saturday, October 18, 2025 ~ 1:30 - 5:00 pm.
Introduction to International Challenges ~ Curious about ISC and Masters level UKI, but afraid to take the leap? Then this session is for you! Sequences of 10 - 15 obstacles will be used to introduce teams to some of the challenges presented on ISC and Masters Level UKI courses, such as discriminations, distance, layering, etc. This session is open to any team that is competing at the Advanced - Masters level as all obstacles may be used. Maximum of 6 working teams and 10 auditors.
Sunday, October 19, 2025 ~ 9 am - 5 pm (with a 1 hour lunch break)
International Coursework ~ In this full day seminar Dudley will set a full course which will allow handlers to work on challenging sequences with a focus on distance, layering and/or discriminations. This seminar is open to teams working at the ISC/Masters level. Maximum of 8 working teams and 10 auditors.
Cancellation Policy – All cancellations must be emailed to Ohbehave@marinhumane.org. Cancellations received by 5pm pacific time on October 3, 2025 will receive a refund minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations after 5pm October 3, 2025 will not be refunded, unless we are able to fill your working spot. This cancellation and refund policy applies to participants that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons.
