701 - Flyball - Introduction 2/25/2018

Spots Available: 6
Description: Flyball is a fun, crazy, 4-dog relay race for athletic, energetic, toy-crazy dogs. If that describes your dog, then the sport of Flyball might be just what he is looking for!

In the Intro to Flyball class, you and your dog will start to learn the skills necessary to be successful in Flyball, including restrained recalls over a lane of 4 jumps, “line up,” “bring it,” exchanges, and you will begin to “build” your dog’s box turn. This class is intended to be repeated until the skills are acquired to move to the next level.

Prerequisites:
~ Open to healthy, athletic dogs who are not overweight
~ All sizes and breeds are welcome
~ Ages 1 year or older (dogs 6 months-1 year by permission of the instructor – see e-mail address below)

Your dog must:
~ Have a solid recall in an open field, even with distractions
~ Be well socialized
~ Be comfortable in a crate
~ Enjoy retrieving a tennis ball
~ If your dog also enjoys a game of tug, that's a plus!
